چکیده

Reconstructing normal section profiles is an effective approach at monitoring the shape of a 3-D revolving-symmetry structure. The existing reconstruction methods typically require sensor to work in constrained pose and thus suffer from poor flexibility limited view-angle. This article proposes pose-unconstrained profile framework for structures, which estimates using multiple general acquired by multiline structured light vision sensor. First, we establish model estimate revolving axis calculate corresponding points. Then, embedded into iterative algorithm optimize points accurate profile. Simulations show that our applicable structures various shapes robust against noise local surface defects. Real experiments were conducted on reconstructing wheel. results demonstrate reaches mean precision 0.065 mm repeatability with STD 0.007 mm. It also position

3-D Stereoscopic Reconstruction using Structured Light

0. Abstract Much like humans, computers are able to infer 3-D positions of objects using sight alone. Replacing our eyes with electronic cameras and our brain with soulless , heartless algorithms, it is possible for a computer to reconstruct a 3-D scene from simple photos. In order to understand the relative positions of objects in the world, we can take two photos of the same scene (from diffe...

Modeling and calibration of a structured light scanner for 3-D robot vision

In this report we have used projectivity theory to model the process of structured light scanning for 3D robot vision. The projectivity formalism is used to derive a 4x3 transformation matrix that converts points in the image plane into their corresponding 3D world coordinates. Calibration of the scanner consists of computing the coefficient of this matrix by showing to the system a set of line...
